Black Panther
Cast: Nearly every character involved in the main narrative is played by a person of color. While these actors are native to countries across the world, the film’s dialect coach Beth McGuire (who is a white woman) worked hard to ensure a consistent Wakandan dialect.
Crew: Director and co-writer Ryan Coogler is black. The film’s other co-writer, Joe Robert Cole, is also black. Said Cole of his final product: “This is the movie I wish I’d had to look up to.”
