The Kingkiller Chronicle
Patrick Rothfuss’s “The Kingkiller Chronicle” is in the early stages of development as both a film and TV series. Rothfuss has been compared to George R. R. Martin, both for his skill at fantasy world-building and, unfortunately, the exorbitant length of time between books in his series, which remains unfinished. The incomplete nature of the series may pose some serious adaptation challenges, but if it ever does see the light of day chances of success are high, with a charismatic protagonist in musician, student, and adventurer Kvothe, and the involvement of Lin Manuel Miranda as a producer and music director.
