The Wheel of Time
It doesn’t have quite the name recognition of “The Lord of the Rings,” but Amazon’s other fantasy series in the works, “The Wheel of Time,” could be a juggernaut in its own right. Based on an expansive, 14-book series started by Robert Jordan in the ‘90s and finished by Brandon Sanderson in 2013, “The Wheel of Time” has even more source material than “Game of Thrones” and follows a band of young heroes in a world beset by cyclical disasters. “Gone Girl’s” Rosamund Pike will lead a cast of newcomers that, with any luck, could include the next Kit Harington or Emilia Clarke.
