Joss Whedon, architect of the first two Avengers films, writes showy dialogue. So when S.H.I.E.L.D. specialist Cameron Klein stammers his way through an attempt at a Whedonion bon mot, ultimately settling on the clearest way to say it, it’s funny as a character choice and a bit of meta-commentary. With one line, Klein gets maybe the biggest laugh of the movie.
