Children’s Stick Insect
This particular bug is found throughout Australia. Female members of the species are brightly and boldly colored, including shades of green, purple, or cream. The male children’s stick insects, conversely, are just a reddish brown. In addition to hiding from predators using camouflage, the bugs can remove and drop one of their legs.
