Gel manicures might be insanely gorge, but you’ll have to put your nails under a UV-lamp in order to get them done. Granted, the exposure is minor, but the lamps aren’t regulated. This means that the intensity of these lamps may vary from salon to salon, and the stronger the UV light, the higher the risk of developing skin cancer.
