Grandin is considered to be an accomplished individual in the world of autism. She’s also a Colorado State University professor dedicated to animal sciences. She didn’t speak until she was three and a half years old and after her autism diagnosis, specialists suggested to her parents that she be institutionalized. Boy, were they wrong!
