Contacting Labs
Jack drafted a proposal with a plan and a budget and then set about contacting 200 researchers, including those at Johns Hopkins University and the National Institutes of Health. His hopes were that at least one of them would be kind enough to let him use their facilities. After sending out hundreds of proposals, Jack only got one response.
