Most people would do anything to have the ability to travel back through time. Imagine all the possibilities that exist. You could win the lottery, you could invest in the right companies, you could warn yourself, not to fall in love, and much much more. Well, today we are going to talk about a time traveler. A guy who came back in time, all the way from the year 2030 or so he claims, to make some very strong predictions and leave a lot of people with their mouths open.
Are Time Travelers Real?
Our story begins in the place where most shocking things happen, YouTube. A few years ago, some videos were posted, about a guy that was trying to convince the world that he is a time traveler. He wasn’t only claiming that he is from the future, but also that he has undisputed proof about it. They called him Noah.
We Have Seen That Before
For now, every person that has come out and said that he is a time traveler, they have been proven to be fakes. Usually, they make many random predictions, to try and get one or two correct. Even the best actors have been proven wrong quite fast. The thing that proves them wrong, is first of all Physics and after that, reality. You would be surprised why they do it, though.
Why Would You Lie?
The basic reason why most of these people go to such lengths to lie to the whole world and to create a persona is to get their time in the spotlight. You could say that it's boredom that drives them to do this. Some of these alleged time travelers put no effort into making their act convincing. It’s proof of how fascinating the topic of time travel is to the public if just the smallest claim can give people time on the television. But something was different with Noah.
This Time Is Different
He was really determined to convince the public that he was the real deal. He was doing it for the benefit of mankind. He had been sent to the past on a secret mission, which required him gaining the trust of the people. On a topic such as time travel it is almost impossible to convince anyone without some strong evidence. And Noah thought of a way that might make the world trust him.
How To Prove You Are Not Lying
What is the easiest way to make sure someone is not lying? Of course, by taking a lie detector test. That’s what was suggested to Noah, and he gladly accepted since he knew that he could say the truth and the test would confirm it. Nobody could believe the things that this time traveler said while hooked on the lie detector.
The Polygraph Test
As the name suggests, a lie detector is a machine that measures various markers about a person, to make sure they are not lying. It does this, since when we lie, some elements in our body change. Our blood pressure rises and so does our heart rate, our breath gets faster and our skin conductivity increases. They are not 100% accurate, but if someone is lying excessively, then this is the best way to find out.
Can You Trick The Machine?
Many people have tried to trick the machine, but sooner or later, the machine picks up that something is wrong with what they are saying. As we said, to lie for a prolonged period while hooked on a lie detector is extremely hard and it requires a lot of practice and concentration. Many frauds have been caught thanks to this machine. The case of Noah would prove to be quite different.
The Calibration
They hooked Noah to the lie detector and the process started. First, there were some calibration questions asked, what day is it, what is his name, how old he is, and all these typical questions. Although even from the beginning Noah surprised everyone with his answers. Especially when they asked him about his age. Noah looked like a young teenager. But that wasn’t the case according to him.
The First Surprise
When they asked him his age, he answered that he was actually 54 years old. That’s right. He had forgotten to mention to the world, that in the future, age-reversing technology has been advanced so much, that you can take a pill and turn to the age that you want to be. Shocking right? But that wasn’t the most unbelievable thing with this statement.
True?
What created a lot of commotion, was that the lie detector seemed to confirm what he was saying. There was a green prompt that flashed with the word True written on it. Could it be that what he was saying was true? A 54-year old man but with the body of a 21-year-old? Even just by that, the future seemed to be brighter than we might have thought. Noah soon gave a more realistic picture of the future.
The Picture Of The Future
Of course, the thing that everyone wanted to ask Noah was the first question he was asked. Does he have any proof that he is coming from the future? It makes sense that a person from the future would have no trouble proving to us that he is from there. A simple phone, for example, should be much different than ours. But Noah’s answer created more questions than it answered.
The paradox
He said that he could easily show proof that he is from the future. But there is something that is stopping him from doing it. If he shows something from the future, there is a great possibility that it will create a paradox. That is why he hasn’t done it so far. That’s why he has tried everything he can to not look different from the humans of 2017. What he was saying, was being accepted by the lie detector. All of it was marked as true.
What's Waiting For Us
Then they asked him, what is the future like. Or at least, what we should expect in the coming years. He claimed that he is not allowed to say too much, because of the paradox, but there is some stuff that he can say. This is where he started saying things that are going to happen soon. This is where humanity’s supposedly real future, was being laid out in front of it, and it was crazy.
Global Warming
As everyone expects, by the year 2030, global warming has greatly affected the world. The sea levels have risen so much, that there is the need for people to start moving away from coastal cities. Especially, he claimed that Los Angeles, is suffering a lot due to the rising temperatures, and it is slowly becoming uninhabitable. But he had a video about Los Angeles.
Los Angeles
What we can see in the video, is a futuristic city that Noah claims to be the new Los Angeles that had to be created more inland to host all the people that were forced to move due to the rise of the sea level. The truly looks like it is from the future, but unfortunately, there is nothing that can prove that this was all true. For now at least.
Transportation
He said that self-driven electric cars have taken over the transportation industry, with cars being able to reach speeds of 600 miles per hour. Although this is already double the speed that today's cars can reach, with the way technology is progressing, it doesn’t look farfetched. Anyone could have made this claim, and it wouldn’t sound so ridiculous. Noah wasn’t done describing the way technology has advanced yet.
We Got To Mars
He said that people have already managed to land on the surface of Mars and there is a colony being built there. Of course, this is not groundbreaking information since Elon Musk has already set the basis for a trip to Mars that is being expected around 2025. When asked if that was the trip he was talking about, he didn’t give a response looking quite skeptical. Then he made a claim, that shocked everyone.
Aliens
He said that NASA, publicly announced that Aliens have been in contact with the Earth. That by itself is a mind-blowing thing to say, but he wasn’t done. He said that they didn’t come from space. Of course, it sounds crazy, where could they come from? This is what he was asked, but once again, he said that if he answered he would put the future in danger. So we are only left with a hint.
All Of This Is True?
Through this entire process, the lie detector kept flashing green, which signified that whatever Noah was saying was true. There was a problem though, whatever machine they used to measure all these things, it didn’t seem to be like any of the lie detectors that we know. It seemed to be very simple, and the only thing it was showing was if he is lying or not. No other measurements, nothing. That made a lot of people suspicious.
The Peoples Response
Some of the viewers of the video commented their legitimate questions. Questions like, if there is anybody that can check what machine they are using, if there he can show us anything that will give credibility to what he is saying, etc. Something was starting to smell fishy there, and it wasn’t the aliens.
A Dark Future
Noah went on and said many more things about the future. He said that there is going to be a big war, although he didn’t characterize it as World War 3. He said it will be a smaller-scale war, including only China, the Korean peninsula, and the U.S.A. Surprisingly, he cannot show any proof for what he is saying due to the paradox, but he can talk about major events like these. This paradox was pretty convenient.
How We Time Travel
He went on to say, that the technology that brought him back in time, was invented in the year 2003 but it was only in 2028 that it became available for the public to use. He claimed that he can’t go into detail as to how it works, but he said it feels electric current is passing through your body. He kept making more and more claims, but one of them has already been proven wrong.
A Mistake
Many of the claims he made were pretty realistic, which made it hard to disprove him at the time. But the most realistic claim he made, is the one that has already been proven wrong. Probably he wouldn’t have said that if he had known what happened would he?
U.S Elections
He said, that the person who will win the elections in 2020 will be Donald Trump. That’s right. He was completely wrong about that which could show to everyone that the whole thing was a complete and utter hoax. But there was no need to wait until the elections to understand that he had no idea what he was saying. Something completely unexpected happened.
The Reveal
Suddenly one day Noah came out on Youtube, without anything to cover his face, and admitted to everyone that this whole thing, has been a character that he was doing. For some people that was a disappointment, although, for most of the viewers of his videos, it was clear that there was no credibility to what he was saying. Everything seemed very suspicious. But something scarier was behind all this.
Fear For His Life
The channel that had uploaded this video, had tried to make Noah a.k.a Denis, sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement saying that he would never go public. But Bel couldn’t keep up the act. He was getting tired of lying to people, and at some point, he even received death threats. These things led him to create a video, explaining the whole situation, and publicly apologizing for his actions.
The Channel Behind All This
ApexTV, is a channel that uploads videos with paranormal videos and stories, so it makes sense they could do something like that, pay a child to pretend he is a time traveler from the future. Many people have been outraged by being lied to by the channel and were demanding some explanation. But the channel never gave any explanation about what was happening.
Denis’ Story
It turns out, that the channel that had approached Denis, didn’t expect the videos to become so popular, with millions of views, and creating an impact that they never expected. It was for that they asked for Denis to make even more videos. But when the death threats came in, claiming that they know who he is, he stepped down from the project and came clean with the public. At least for that, he had proof.
The Proof
He showed footage that was aired with his face completely visible. It was the footage before being distorted by the channel, that Denis had kept. The distortion was done to create an air of mystery around the character of Noah. It did the trick since millions of people got caught up in the story and followed it as it was developing. A very anti-climactic ending, unfortunately.
Only Hope Remains
The good thing is that we have the bad things he said might not turn out to be true. Although a pill that stops people from aging, or time travel are technologies that sound very tempting. Let's see what the future holds for us.
