Moments of Dread
All the rest of the herd could do was look at the baby as it struggled to stand and get out. The water was also rising fast. The big adults knew something had to be done, or else it would be too late.
As the calf tried its hardest to fight and the bigger members of the herd were unable to help physically, all of a sudden it seemed as if a realization came over them all at once. They begin making loud noises.
