I Fell For It
During my sophomore year in college, I was assigned a random roommate, seemed like an alright guy until about 2 months into the semester. I came back to the dorm after spending a weekend at home to find all of his stuff gone, the cabinets cleaned out, and everything worth more than $10 I had in the dorm (T.V., PS2, minifridge, games, electric toothbrush) was gone. I called the cops, and it turns out that the kid wasn’t even enrolled at the school but was the nephew of the guy who did the housing assignments, who had been giving young family members places to stay and quit the day before.
