My Worst Nightmare
I lived in a one-bedroom trailer with 12 people. I worked 10 pm to 6 am. Everyone else worked normal shifts. I’d be sleeping during the day, and they’d start blaring music so loud, it shook the trailer. They’d also leave food out on the counter overnight. I’d come home to an open rice cooker full of roaches and dried out rice. During one winter, we got rats. I was woken up one by the two dogs fighting over a half-dead rat.
