NSA Surveillance
In early June 2013, former CIA and NSA employee Edward Snowden leaked thousands of classified NSA documents to journalists. The information he released revealed mass surveillance programs around the world were being run by the NSA with the cooperation of phone companies and other governments throughout Europe.
