Cool Beans
“Cool beans” one was one of the dumber phrases on this list, and therefore maybe one of the most likely to make you sound old. It was always used sort of ironically anyway, because it’s just so corny. At this point, overuse has drained it of its irony, and it’s back to being just corny. So use it with caution. Or, better yet, don’t use it at all.
