Yet another team so bad that it resulted in their coach’s looking for work before the season even came to an end. The 1996-97 Grizzlies revolved around Greg Anthony (pictured) and rookie big man Shareef Abdur-Rahim, who was happy to hoist regardless of whether his shot was falling, contributing to the demise of head coach Brian Winters. They finished the year 14-68.
