Jeyne Poole
Poor Jeyne Poole. Is it better to be cut from the story entirely, or to suffer through one of the most degrading fates in these stories? After making a brief appearance at the start of “Game of Thrones” season one, Poole disappears entirely. Her character arc is handed to her best friend Sansa Stark instead; in the novels, it is Poole rather than Stark who is forcibly married off to Ramsay Bolton, when she is forced to masquerade as Arya. Poole suffers all the indignities that Sansa endures in the show, and more – Bolton makes her perform acts with his dogs that very understandably were too obscene for television.
