Oxygen Became an Issue
The smoke caused two people to experience serious complications from smoke inhalation. Nine other passengers experienced minor issues related to smoke inhalation. One passenger, Richard Liffidge, passed away from “asphyxia secondary to inhalation of smoke and irrespirable gases”.
