World Discoverer Cruise Ship, Solomon Islands
The German-built cruise ship the World Discoverer served passengers all over the globe for decades. But in 2000, the ship struck a large uncharted underwater object and began to fail. No one died in the crash, and there haven’t been any reported contaminent leaks, and so the ship has remained where it was wrecked, just off the coast of the Solomon Islands.
