Funtown, Kentucky

Funtown originally opened in 1969 as Guntown, a Wild West themed roadside attraction. Although it survived for half a century by siphoning off visitors to Mammoth Cave, in 2013 Guntown finally closed. Two years later, the property was bought and the attempt was made to reinvent it as a carnival circusy park. That attempt failed quite promptly, but the decaying remains of Funtown still remain in the Kentucky hills.
