Pripyat, Chernobyl

Pripyat was the town built to house the workers of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant after it was thought better not to build it too close to Kiev. Its 49,360 residents were evacutated in the days following the 1986 Chernobyl disaster, and so it’s been abandoned ever since. The advent of drones brought us the most detailed footage we’ve seen of this uniquely haunting city.
