The Women’s Strike (1970)
On Aug. 26, 1970, Bryant Park in New York played host to the Women’s Strike for Equality. Fighting for greater freedom and representation, the women involved with the strike also campaigned against the Vietnam war. This protest would go on to inspire other women’s liberation movements, helping to push for greater equality between those of all genders.
