His wife, Rita, bore the brunt of Bob’s improprieties, as he regularly cheated in her with a variety of mistresses. Then, in 1973, he allegedly forced himself on her without her consent. Rita gave all the details for the first time in a 2004 interview, but insisted she still loved Bob, and forgave him.
