19-year-old Brian Collins of Ball State University charmed the world with his horrendously awkward live newscast, during which he coined the phrase, “Boom goes the dynamite!” At first he was mortified as the clip circulated, but he received a call from ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt saying, “If this is the worst thing that ever happens to you, you’ll be good.”
