Eric Chavez slides to the edge of the dugout
One of the best defensive third basemen ever proved it on June 10, 2003, when he made this long slide to the lip of the home dugout for a foul ball struck by the Braves’ Rafael Furcal in the top of the 10th. It was the third foul fly to be caught by Chavez that day, though the previous two weren’t nearly as exciting.
