Sandy Alomar scales the backstop
For guys who call themselves catchers, they sure don’t come up with many memorable catches. Alomar is the exception, however, darting to the backstop and scaling it before securing the ball to cut down the Tigers’ Cecil Fielder in the first inning on August 2 of the strike-shortened 1994 season.
