The Knicks went just 27-23 in the strike-shortened season, finishing the regular season with the fourth-best defensive rating and the fourth-worst offensive rating. They barely managed to squeak into the playoffs before upsetting the East’s No. 1 seed, the Miami Heat, in the first round. But the Spurs dispatched the Knicks in five games in the NBA Finals.
