Los Hermanos Hernandez
In 1962, brothers Santos and Cayetano Hernandez tricked about 50 villagers from Yerba Buena, Mexico, into thinking they were priests who represented ancient deities. They asked for money and sexual favors in exchange for treasures hidden in a mountain. They even told everyone that prostitute Magdalena Solis was an incarnated deity and performed a bizarre ritual in the mountains. Some of the villagers were even sacrificed in religious ceremonies.
